General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to Indonesia from August 22-24 at the invitation of Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo.

HÀ NỘI — Party General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng will pay an official visit to Indonesia from August 22-24 at the invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo. 

The visit aims to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries, reinforce political trust and friendship, and speed up pragmatic co-operation towards ushering bilateral relations into a new phase of development.

After Indonesia, Trọng will make a State visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from August 24-26 as guest of Myanmar President Htin Kyaw.

This visit will aim at defining a framework for bilateral relations with new milestones and catalysing impulses across many sectors. — VNS
